BJ's obituary
Benjamin John Cronin, beloved son, husband and father, was 48 when a neck infection caused sepsis and he lost the fight. He passed away on August 17, 2022 at St. Luke’s Meridian Idaho.
BJ, as he was known to most, was born in Canberra, Australia, on September 15th, 1973. He grew up first in Sydney, then in Melbourne, learning life skills from the Cubs and then the Boy Scouts, and he represented his Secondary College in chess competitions. After that he was accepted as an apprentice and earned a degree from the Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce, the highest Motor Mechanical Educator in the State of Victoria. Among many jobs he worked at Motorhomes and Mustang Motorsport, converting all kinds of vehicles from left to right hand drive, which was where he was working when he met Dacia in 2013.
BJ married Dacia on April 20th, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada as planned during their United States 2 month road trip. Within 2 years, BJ was the adoring and devoted father of Xander and Gabe. A decision to move to the States was made and BJ underwent the immigration process to get his green card. He had to start over but he was committed to providing the best life he could for his family. BJ most recently worked for Lithia Ford of Boise. He enjoyed getting out and experiencing life, going for road trips, camping, sleeping underneath the Milky Way, hiking, fishing, and cooking.
He is survived by his wife Dacia, his sons, Alexander and Gabriel, his parents Chris and Jan, his brother David and his sister Rachael. BJ had requested a celebration of life be held on lieu of traditional funeral services. He will be greatly missed.
