Benji and DJ'ed handfuls of events together and always crossed paths via all the community building he did. Every time I was around him, I always made a new friend. That's just the way he was. Here's a few pics from the early 2000's. Benji and I are the same age but I looked up to him as someone older, someone more mature and focused. It was influential to be around him, to see how he treated people, to see how he connected different groups and how he used hip hop to make it all happen. I'm so shook that you are gone Benji, but I know the world is a better place because you were here.
