Ben VanderPloeg, age 96, of Imlay City, Michigan, passed away August 9th, 2025 at Extended Care of Marlette.

Ben was the son of Arthur and Dora (Wagenaar) VanderPloeg born August 13, 1928 in Imlay City, Michigan.

Ben spent all of his life in Imlay City.

He had been employed by General Motors, GM Parts in Pontiac retiring in 1976 after 30 years.

Ben was survived by his Grandchildren; Mikayla (Cody) Stockwell, Isis Kinney, Nathan Kinney, and Jacob Kinney, Great Grandchildren; Natalie, Gage, Levi and Bently.

He was preceded in death by; a daughter Joy Lynn in 1977, a daughter Dena Kinney in 2019, His wife Jean VanderPloeg in 2021, brothers; Clarence, Arnold and Peter VanderPloeg, sisters; Sylvia Milliken, Irene Walker, Gertrude Laarman and Rolina DeGroat

A memorial service will take place August 30th at 1pm at Veterans of Foreign Wars in Imlay City. 598 N Almont Ave, Imlay City, MI 48444
