Ben L. Briggs, 77, of Coatesville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully in his home on July 18, 2025. Born on January 2, 1948 in Danville, Virginia he was the son of the late Elton and Helene Briggs and brother of the late Ellen Briggs.

Ben graduated from Vineland High School in Vineland, New Jersey in 1966. He went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences, now known as University of Sciences in Philadelphia in 1973. As a life long learner forever in pursuit of knowledge and the skills to best heal others, Ben obtained many certifications in his life time, most notably becoming a Certified Nutritional Consultant (CNC).

Ben founded Lionville Pharmacy, now known as Lionville Natural Pharmacy, in 1979. This became a pillar of healing and well-being in the community and beyond. Through Lionville Natural Pharmacy, countless individuals have been and continue to be offered nutritional consulting, customized medications, and access to the highest quality nutritional supplements. In addition to serving the community through the pharmacy, Ben helped others by hosting seminars and a local radio show.

Ben was known as a Renaissance man, a true trailblazer that spent his free time playing music, golfing, reading, writing, wood working, gardening, hosting bonfires, or “puttering” around his home on various projects. He enjoyed a large circle of friends from all seasons of his life. Ben was an avid environmentalists, a self-proclaimed “tree hugger”, and enjoyed time in the outdoors.

Ben was a devoted father and grandfather to his four children and four grandchildren. He is survived by his children Michael and his wife Jacy Briggs, K. Briggs, Beth Briggs, Sarah Briggs and his grandchildren Molly, Adam, Lucy, and Connor. He was a loving partner to his high school sweetheart with whom he reconnected later in life, Diane McMahon.
