Belle's obituary

Belle Howe, 75, of MISSOURI CITY, Texas formerly from Oxford & Franklinville NY, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2024. Born in 1949, to Clairmont and Elveda (Peggy) Lewis.   

Immediately after high school Belle worked for Motorla, and then for 20+ years in administrative rolls for Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals (P&G), Circulars Unlimited (Pennysaver) and Chenango County Hospice.  Her second career adventure was a special education aid for several school districts in both New York and Texas.  Belle quickly realized her passion for working with children and often "her kids" would see her in public and give her hugs long after her retirement. 

Belle was also an active member of First United Methodist Church of Missouri City, participating with their craft club, Book club, Fun Folks, prayer team, Nursery and community events such as trunk or treat or Vacation Bible School.  

 She is survived by "her girls" & their spouses Jeni (Matt) Thompson and Jolene (John) Furlong, grandchildren Mariah Thompson, Claire Thompson, Dylan Howe, Kendyll Howe , Lillea Furlong , Levi Furlong, and her step-grands Linkoln, Julian, Cullin, Jenna, Jada & Addie Furlong and step great grand Amira Furlong, Brother Joe Hoffman, Brother-in-law Karl Royce, several nieces and nephews, their spouses and children. 

Special friends (Texas) Joan and Larry, Meaghan, Michael and Norma (NY) Barb, Wendy, Mona and Kip. 

Belle was predeceased by her husband Clif,  her parents, Brother Loren Sindell, Sister Mary Royce, Nephew Thomas Chapman. 

 In Leu of flowers donations can be made to Dolly Partons Imagination Library, your local hospice or to a charity of your choice.
