What a beautiful tribute! I was in Belinda’s class at Wills High School. I am so sorry for your loss but thankful that she left you with such loving memories.

Very well written tribute for a beautiful soul. Belinda was always very sweet and sincere every time I was in her presence. My thoughts and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.

I knew Belinda at Nash Middle school back in the 8th grade. Fast forward many years and my niece Katherine married Belindas’ son Casey. Mila is their daughter and Belindas’ granddaughter.
Plus, my husband Gary, worked with her husband Gary for a short while. We send our condolences and prayers to all the family. We are all spread out across the country and across the Pond. 💔😢🙏

Giggy,

I knew you for only a relatively short time but the impact you've had on my life far outweighs the amount of time we shared together. If nothing else, you gave me my soulmate and I will be forever grateful for that.

Others will tell the stories of your earlier life but to me you were, and always will be, 'Giggy', the indomitable matriarch of the family that you so warmly welcomed me into. As soon as I met you it immediately became clear that nothing phased or floored you... except for perhaps the occasional flight of stairs.

There is no doubt in my mind that you were born to be a grandmother. The star around which your grandbabies orbited, a gravitational force pulling cousins together around you no matter how far apart their homes. The indelible bond you nurtured between your grandchildren will last a lifetime and beyond.

You leave behind a legacy of a troupe of strong women (and the odd man too). I look forward to watching your girls grow up and live their lives with the same spirit and determination as you lived yours. I'm not sure the world is ready for them, but I'm certain it will be a better place because of them.

While I'm sad that you and Jack didn't get to spend more time together, he will know you through the memories, the stories, the tears and the laughter that will be shared about his Giggy throughout his life.

George Eliot said that "our dead are never dead to us, until we have forgotten them", so, Giggy, you will live on for many lifetimes to come.

We know that you're bringing fun and laughter... and a constant supply of clean laundry... to wherever your journey has taken you next. Sleep well, dream joyful dreams, and take pride in watching your family grow and flourish in the garden you created for them.

Love James xXx

Who knew as an 11-year-old girl the impact the Davis family, much less Belinda, would have on me as an adult woman? It’s incredible the unknowing influence we have on our children, and what she did for me in my life. I know she wasn’t a perfect woman, but that made me love her perseverance and strength even more. She introduced me to poetry/literature, challenging the norm, and questioning everything with such an undying passion. My heart is forever linked to the Davis family. We may not physically be connected anymore, but you are forever connected in my heart and memories. I love you all. I’m sending all my prayers and love. One last poem in honor of my sweet Belinda…
