Barbara Ruth Thompson

Barbara Ruth Thompson, 81, of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully on August 23rd, 2025.

Born in Pittsburg, California, Barbara later moved to Washington, where she graduated from Everett High School. A dedicated and hardworking woman, she built a career at Sound Transit, retiring in early 2020 after years of service to her community.

Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her five children, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren—each a testament to the love and legacy she leaves behind.

Barbara’s strength, wisdom, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to bring people together, and her home was always a place of comfort, laughter, and love.

As she begins her next journey, she is reunited with her loving parents, brother, and her first-born granddaughter—no doubt surrounded by love once again from above.

She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered.
