I lost my Mom April 2nd, 2024 at age 100 years and 8 months. I was in New York then, and missed the Celebration of Life for Barb. Barb was my fellow New Yorker, and good buddy through the years of the Johnson's Draw Parties! The New York connection was special to us both, and we were fellow escapee's from Weshester & Rockland Counties, right across the Hudson River from each other. I had great respect, a brother - sister kind of love for Barb, and somewhat deep sharing in that we both ended up in Libby from the same general location and backround. Her hospitality and cooking were highly respected by all of us in that rather large group of the Johnson's Draw Party Clan! Barb will be sincerely missed by many. Condolences to the family, especially the kids, whom I've know since they were toddlers. Happy Trails & Warm Sunsets Barb, :) - Brian Patrick Baxter

A friend for close to 50 years, Barb fought a valiant battle indeed with cancer. Ā  I will cherish many fond memories, one of the more recent ones being Garl Hale’s 91st Birthday, grinning ear to ear and surrounded by a harem of admiring friends. Ā  She and Mark tackled every challenge of living at the draw, following their dreams and raising their family. Special regards pouring out to Laura and Carol, who have lost more than they may know. Ā Dance on, hike on MarkandBarb.
We lostĀ heaven wins such a special couple!!Ā Ā
True beauty inside and out...we lost and heaven wins...surrounded now by so many...
So sorry Laura & Zack. Ā She was a beautiful person. Ā Gave so much of herself. Ā My grandson hiked with her in the Cabinets during summer school & loved every minute of it. Ā šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™
To all of Barb's family - we send our love and sympathies to you all.Ā  Barb was a force of nature!Ā  Dean and Sandra
Laura and Zack, Kile, and Jeremiah and family; find comfort in the memories and the legacy that your fabulous parents Ā left for you, and Carol, the many years of memories as sister. All my love and hugs to you. Ā I remember the day your father told me that he bought Johnson’s Draw, watched he and your mom turn it into your home. It’s a worthy story, and you have that and so much more to carry you forward. Ā Thinking of you. Ā Love, love, great big hugs!Ā
I’m so sorry for your loss! I often think about your mom leading Girl Scouts and how much fun she made it.Ā
Barb's love of life and family and friends is her true gift.Ā  I will miss her so but know she and Mark are dancing and camping and enjoying their time now togetherĀ
I will miss that mischievous grin! Ā Barb was honest and open and loving and kind. What more could anyone want from a friend. I will miss her always! Ā Love to her family!

My heart is saddened to hear the news of Barb's battle with cancer and passing. She was a wonderful, sweet, caring friend. Know that I am keeping your family wrapped in my warmest thoughts and prayers. May the memories of time with Barb bring you all comfort during this difficult time šŸ¤
