Barbara DeSimone Ottaviani gained her angel wings on May 23, 2022. Barbara was 90 years old.

Born and raised in Westerly, Rhode Island, she lived a long & happy life alongside her beloved husband, Guido "Bud" Ottaviani. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She spent many years of her life dedicated to various types of mission work, as well as volunteering in correctional facilities mentoring young women. An avid reader, Barbara could be found sipping coffee and reading all sorts of books. She loved her family and enjoyed visiting them often.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Bud; her daughter Barbara (Holliday) Middlebooks; her stepchildren John, David, Paul, Mark and Karen (Ferraro) Ottaviani; and her sisters, Carol Dickens & Sandra Terranova. Barbara was predeceased by her two youngest children, John “Jack” Holliday, Jr. and Michelle Holliday; her parents Raffaele “Frank” DeSimone & Anna Galanti DeSimone; and her brother Ralph Anthony DeSimone.

Services are still being organized, but a memorial service will be held in Port St. Lucie, Florida and a celebration of life service will be held in Westerly, Rhode Island, where she will be laid to rest.
