Barbara Johnson Odom, our mom, grandmother, and sister, peacefully passed away in Pittsboro on Wednesday, December 27, 2023. She was 71 years old. Born on May 5, 1952, in Raleigh, NC, Barbara was the oldest daughter of the late Obed (Quay) and Beverly Johnson. Alongside her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tony and Barry Johnson.

Barbara lived in the Raleigh area her entire life. She attended North Carolina State University and was a member of the Sigma Kappa sorority during her time there. Over the years, she worked with children and in the financial industry, most recently serving as a budget officer for the SBTDC of North Carolina. Above all else, Barbara loved her family and had a strong relationship with the Lord. She most recently attended Clayton Vineyard Church in Clayton.

She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Wall (Lacy) of Garner, NC, and son, Joel Odom (Sydney) of Raleigh, NC. Additionally, she is survived by her recent grandchild, Henry Odom, and her sister, Donna Decker (Allen). Barbara will be held close in the hearts of her family and friends.
