Barbara Ellen Newman, age 68, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her residence in Glendale, Arizona. She was born on November 8, 1952 to the late Jesse and Pearl (Storm) Carter in Dwight, Illinois. On 11/20/1968 she married Larry Newman in Alton, Illinois. Barbara worked for many years as a Correctional Officer in Ogle County before moving to Arizona and running her restaurant, Carrie's Cafe, for almost 30 years. She enjoyed taking trips …
