David, Sarah, Jamie, Jim and family - My heart is breaking for you during this time of loss.  You are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Love always, Phyllis Hunter Washer
Barbara and I were cousins and we spent many holidays and summers together in Maryland.  She lived with us in Texas when she was in her early 20's and worked at a hospital in the DFW area.  I was 9 or 10 at the time, and I wanted to grow up and be just like her.  She was beautiful and I thought the world of her.  She would go run at the park and let me tag along and we would drive around with the windows down listening to music.  I thought I was just as cool as she was.   Some of my fondest memories of her involved music.  I remember sitting with her in her room and she would be singing a Linda Ronstadt song.  She taught me to play songs on the piano and she would play Bridge Over Troubled Water and me and her brother Bobby would sing.  I remember riding around in the car with her one time and she told me to quiet down so we could hear this new song that had just come out -  "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder.  She cranked it up and we danced in the car.   Over the years every time I heard that song I thought of her.  I'm sure I got on her nerves but she always took time with me and made me feel special.  She loved with her whole heart and she loved her family.  I will miss her......

I’m so very sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. I worked with her back in the early 80s when I was in the Navy. We worked together in pathology.  We were friends. I saw her last in Va about 10 years ago after my granddaughter was born. I loved her quick wit! Even though it’s been a while since I’ve seen her, we’ve kept up on FB.  She loved her family!!! I will miss her. ❤️
