Barbara Young, age 66, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Barbara was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She shared her life with her beloved husband, Steve Young, and together they built a family rooted in love, loyalty, and deep connection.

She leaves behind her children: Jose Lopez; Kathleen Borre and her husband Eric Borre; Cecilia Jack and her husband Mike Jack; Amy Montelongo and her husband Daniel Rutzen; and Lisa Young. Barbara was a proud and adoring grandmother to Jasmine and her husband Brandon, Steve, Izabela, Angel, Juan, Mercedes, Allison, Anthony, Alexis, Kayla, and Sereniti, and many more—each of whom brought her immense joy and purpose.

Barbara is reunited in heaven with her parents and her beloved grandchildren Vincent, Dominic, and Ophelia, along with many other family members who went before her.

Those who knew Barbara will remember her as an amazing wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, and friend—someone whose love was fierce, whose heart was generous, and whose presence made people feel safe and cared for. Her legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the countless lives she touched.

She will be missed beyond words and loved forever. Until we see you again, sunshine girl.
