Barbara and I met in 1987, during major crises in both our lives.  My son, Eric, introduced us when I attended Evergreen Christian Center in Olympia, WA.  We bonded as friends and continued to attend Evergreen, participating in their support groups, classes, and activities for many years. 

We encouraged one another to volksmarch all over Washington and into Oregon.  It was a great way to exercise and a way to meet and get to know many people, cities, and places.  We shared our families, many holiday festivities, day trips, and adventures.

She was a fun-loving, humorous, curious, and a good, all-around sport and pal.  We eventually became members of Past Jim and Sherrie Ripley's revival of the Neighborhood Christian Community Church in Tumwater. We enjoyed exciting years helping to grow this church into a loving, vital community outreach.  We stayed in touch when she moved to join her daughter Julie and her family in Texas.  

I am enriched and glad of her friendship and Christian support through these years.  You will be missed, dear friend.
