Brian and Sean I just saw this about your mom. Barb and I had some fun times before she moved to Arizona. Hugs and prayers to you and the rest of the family.
A small group of us got together in 1984 to start a Tucson Network of the American Nurses Holistic Association. The AHNA had begun about 3 years before this time, Barb was already working at St. Mary's Hospital when she joined and became part of the group. She was able to contribute to the planning because that year the AHNA nurse of the year was an RN at St. Mary's Hospital. Barb and I became close friends at that time and remained so since. I watched her blossom in Healing Work and was fortunately pulled in to learn and practice Healing Touch. I had dinner with Barb last October 2023 when I was last in Tucson. We had a great visit as always. She sent me a homemade card in July this year in response to my surgery. She was always kind and considerate almost to a fault. I will truly miss our chats. Goodnight my friend.

Barb came to get a stone massage from me, she heard about me from a mutual friend. I was honored to offer Barb a stone session. I had been challenging this for 2 years and was eager to receive her feed back. She was very surprised to find out I did not have any training in Energy work. Barb explained afterwards that I was working at a high level and would be interested in helping me know more. We hit it off that very first day, and traded therapy sessions for years and years. I studied with Barb for Healing Touch which helped to awaken within me more clarity on my healing journey.  I will miss my friend and send Sean and his family my deepest sympathy for their loss, heaven gained a bright beautiful Angel when Barb left this planet. Blessings, Mary Nelson

Barbara and I became friends during our high school years and have remained best friends throughout the years. I was her maid of honor at her wedding,  our first babies are close in age and we have much in common.  She was always a great confidant and friend and we have stayed in touch over the years, even if we haven’t spoken in some time it was always like we had a close connection.  I loved hearing her stories about her family, friends, travels and hobbies.  I was a frequent visitor to her parents home and loved her mom and dad dearly.   Her passing is leaving a great hole in my life and she will be greatly missed.  Condolences to her family, I know she loved you so.
