I grew up with Barbara, during my youth.  She was the beautiful girl who lived across the street, on Boston Avenue. We were good friends and our families were very good to one another.  Barbara was a wonderful daughter and sister. A very special gal.  As a young girl,  she exuded such natural poise and charm.  Her first dog was a beautiful Collie, named Laddie. Barbara loved that dog.  Even now, I can see her bathing Laddie, outside in the rain. A talented cosmetologist,  Barbara did my make up and hair, for a H.S. dance.   R.I.P. dear childhood friend.  Barbara, you touched many lives and will always be remembered with fondness.
We love you Barbara, and miss your smile and thoughtfulness. You were the most beautiful flower in your incredible garden.
We think of you every day, with love.🙏🌷❤️

Barbara was a brilliantly shining star. She was a dear friend who's smile, hugs, guidance, and grace will always remain in my heart. I was so blessed to have landed in Barbara's path - she was a great mom, trusted friend, teacher, and gifted lady.
Dear Phil, I can only imagine what you are going through. Your friend's description sounds apt and is deeply felt. When I transfer that feeling to you and Barbara, I fall apart. Firstly, it is so hard to believe she has transitioned in such a short period of time. One day we learned of her illness and the next we seemingly learned of her passing. I am so sorry we weren't with you both to offer our love and support in person, and hope you felt a steady stream from afar. All of us who knew Barbara ( even remotely) know that we lost an angel. She was so kind and innovative and clever and artistic and enterprising and hard working and visionary and loving and creative and there was no end to her presence in the world. She was a natural caretaker who gave her heart and soul to family, friends, animals and nature. And aren't we all the better for it. Aren't we the privileged to have known her. Fortunately, angels live on in our hearts forever. Phil, you and Barbara have a love for each other that endure time and consciousness. May that love help to heal the pain of loss. All our love, Ann and Ken
Dear Barbara,

My sad heart and prayers are with Philip and Dana as I write the thoughts and feelings I wish I'd shared with you before your most untimely departure for heaven. So wonderful to have you as my sister-in-law, and I hope you felt just how much we all loved you. You brought a beautiful light into our family, and your kind, loving, thoughtful nature was a gift to each of us, especially Philip. So many happy memories of family gatherings you orchestrated, especially at Christmas, when you had us all wear red noses, sing verses of The Twelve Days of Christmas , share goofy grab-bag gifts...We miss you, dear Barbara, and though your light shines elsewhere now, I'll always treasure knowing your lovely self, and being so, so grateful for the love and joy you brought to Philip's life--and to all of us.
Prayers that Philip, Dana and Mark find a measure of comfort in remembering you, your sunny personality and beautiful heart. Rest peacefully, dear friend. Love, Terri
There is no greater pain than what you are feeling right now....our hearts are with you Phil. It was a year ago that Barbara and little Phil came to our door to invite us to your birthday party and now your life has changed forever. Bob and I are so sad for your loss. We will be keeping our distance for now but will contact you in the near future.

Forever friends,
Bob and Mimi ❤️
we will miss her forever. i can't write anything because then her passing becomes too real. talented, loving, creative. she left a hole that can never be filled
Barbara always treated me any my family as though we were her own. I loved her very much, and I know she loved me.

I considered her my aunt.
She was loving, compassionate, and unbelievably sweet.
I also admire how she could take charge when necessary, and she could actually handle Uncle Phil (which is only half-joking)

I’m sad that she’s no longer here, but I’m happy to have been able to know her, and I’ll miss her warm smile, her happy hello, and her wonderful hugs.
Dana your mom was a beautiful lady who was so gracious to me always. I will remember her with love .
Barbara and I were blessed to produce a very special daughter.
Barbara was a beautiful woman inside and out and carried herself with class. May she rest peacefully, I am very saddend by her passing
and hold on to the fond memories.
Such a beautiful soul...I will always remember all the fun things we did together when I was a kid. Barbara was fun, silly, creative and loving. She was so selfless and always went out of her way to make me happy. I will miss her beautiful smile. 💔
Dear Dana and Phil,
Barbara babysat my two feisty young kids in our home in Egremont. I remember the first time I spoke to her to inquire about babysitting, she asked if she could come a day earlier to just hang out with my children so they would be comfortable being with her the following day. I was taken aback at this level of thoughtfulness. So, she did come the day before, spending over an hour-and-a-half with us. It goes without saying that my kids adored her and would ask if Barbara could play with them when we visited the Berkshires. There was also that time when about 6 months went by before I asked if she could babysit again. "Of course," she said. "But since it's been a while, could I come over the day before and spend some time with the kids, to make them comfortable?" I shouldn't have been surprised but I still was. The best part of these extra visits was getting to spend time with her. She was the gentlest person but with a spine of steel. Every time she came over to babysit, she would send me a text, knowing the worrier I am, and the message would always be the same: "The kids are fine. Enjoy yourself and don't hurry back!" My family and I will miss her deeply and we are truly sorry for your loss. It was a privilege to have known her and I'm a better person for it. Please accept our most sincere condolences. --The Bubna Family
