It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Barbara Dacey. Born in 1949, Barbara took her last breath on April 17, 2025.  A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother, Barbara leaves behind an enduring legacy of love.

Barbara was a woman of immeasurable warmth, with a heart as big as her smile. She was known for her compassionate and selfless nature, always putting her family above all else. She was the kind of person who could bring instant comfort and happiness to a room, her love shining bright in every corner of her life.

Married to her beloved husband, John Dacey, Barbara's life was filled with shared joy and companionship. Underneath their marital bond were countless moments of laughter, understanding, and an unspoken promise to support one another through thick and thin.

Perhaps Barbara's most cherished accomplishment was her family. She was a guiding light and a firm pillar of strength for her loved ones. The love she held for her family was reflected in every action, every decision, every sacrifice she made for their happiness and well-being.

Barbara was predeceased by her cherished son, Mark Maggiore (Jennifer Maggiore-Ouellette) and her sister, Carol Catalano.  She is survived by her adoring daughter, Robyn Nutter (Jim Nutter), and goddaughter Shannon Alfano (John Alfano).  Barbara also leaves behind a loving blended family (Kim, Tom, Erik, Amisa, Jack, Cat, Bill, Corbiey and 14 amazing grandkids).

Barbara's absence will leave a void that cannot be filled. She will be deeply missed by her husband, children, and grandchildren.  However, the love she seeded in their hearts will continue to grow and flourish, a testament to the beautiful life she lived.

A memorial service in honor of Barbara will be held on May 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 865 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. We invite all those who were touched by Barbara's life to join us in celebrating her legacy.

While we mourn Barbara's passing, we also celebrate the love and tenderness that she embodied. In every memory, every story, and every smile shared in her memory, Barbara Dacey will continue to live on.
