Barbara Collins Washington, the eldest child of the late Lessie Collins Houston and Edward Collins was born on August 23, 1946. She attended schools in Leon County, but graduated from Eustis Vocational High School and obtained an Associates degree from Lake Sumter Community College In Leesburg, Florida. She received Christ at an early age and was a former member of St. James CME Church in Tallahassee, Florida before she moved back to Eustis and then …
