Mrs. Barbara was family to me. Growing up, she was always there in the special memories, and I can’t remember a holiday where she didn’t make the time to see us and drop off some of her homemade Chex mix (Christmas crack is what I like to call it)… she made it better than anyone can! She showed up for my family in ways that I can never repay her. From babysitting us when we were kids to even driving me to take my ACT for school… she was a genuine soul that I am eternally grateful to have known and be loved by her. She was one of the first people I called when I was in boot camp and they let us make our first phone calls 🥲 Mrs. Barbara, thank you for loving me and my family and for all of the love that you so graciously gave. I will always remember you, and I will always love you. May you rest in peace and know that you loved just how Jesus did.
Although our hearts are broken and we will miss Barbara terribly, we are rejoicing that she is in Heaven with her Savior. She always had a sweet smile and a loving heart.
We all greatly loved Barbara and she will be truly missed at Brush Poppers Cowboy Church. She and James both taught us what REAL Faith is all about ! James loves Barbara more than any of us , and is so heart broken and lost without her . I have heard him say that "she is in better arms now than he could ever give her " . He longs for the day he will see her again ! God took her home to heal her instead of her suffering here on this earth . We Love You Barbara, see you again in Glory !
I worked with Barbara for 9 years at Grace Place which ten became River Region Pregnancy Center. She was the most positive person I have ever known. She loved Jesus fiercely and His light shined through her. She wore several hats at RRPC over the years and wore them well. We have lost a good friend, but I am sure she was welcomed into heaven by a marching band. I hope she is in the group that welcomes me when it is my time to go.
