Barbara Elizabeth Buck (Mabrey), age 80, of Delray Beach, FL passed away March 7, 2023. Born in Miami, FL to the late William T. and Miriam I. Mabrey (English), Barbara grew up in Coconut Grove, FL where she enjoyed competitive sailing and traveling with her family around the Caribbean and South America, including several years living in Rio de Janeiro. After her accomplished youth as a sailor and pianist, her professional career spanned from the aviation industry to healthcare, with her final, and most cherished, role as professional grandmother to her two granddaughters. Barbara is survived by daughters, Katie (Kevin) Ingram and Molly Buck of Brentwood, TN; sister, Martha (Jack) Keefe of Margate, FL; grandchildren, Mabrey and Tiller Ingram of Brentwood, TN; and many friends and family across the world. Services for Barbara will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 11:30 in the morning at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in Boynton Beach, FL and are open to all friends and family. A celebration of life will follow the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
