Barbara's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara "Barbie" Breitnauer. Barbie was born on May 28, 1959, and peacefully passed away on March 22, 2025.

Barbie is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Mark Breitnauer, to whom she was blissfully married since 1983. Her love as a mother to her two children, Jakob and Sarah Breitnauer, was unparalleled. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Amanda Breitnauer, and a doting grandmother to Morgan and Riley Breitnauer. She truly was the heart and soul of the Breitnauer family, leaving behind an indelible legacy of love and faith. She also leaves behind her siblings Edgar, Yvonne, and Neda as well as numerous nieces and nephews across the world.

A woman of many passions, Barbie was an avid fan of Elton John. Her fondness for the game Rummikub was well known and often brought her great joy. Barbie had a wonderful flair for the creative, with quilting being one of her favorite hobbies. Recalling fond memories of Walt Disney World, she often declared it as her favorite vacation spot.

Described as loving, funny, and faithful, Barbie was a beacon of positivity. She believed in forgiveness, often sharing the wisdom of forgiving often and loving deeply. Her greatest accomplishment was becoming a mother and she took immense pride in her children. The strong bond of family amd faith and the deep love she nurtured will be her lingering legacy.

Barbie life will be celebrated with a funeral service on May 30, 2025, at 10:30 AM at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church in Katy, TX.  Her absence will be felt deeply, and she will be dearly missed, her memory forever cherished in the hearts of those she touched.
