Our mom, Barbara Doyle Berryhill went home to be with the Lord on the evening of August 25, 2022, at Victoria Gardens of Frisco. She was surrounded by her family listening to her favorite gospel songs.

Barbara was born on September 8, 1934, in Staten Island, NY to Raymond Doyle and Minnie Lee Wheeles, and was an only child. She grew up in Wilmington, NC and then moved to Saint Petersburg, FL where she graduated high school and married Dr. William (Bill) Andrew Berryhill, Sr. on April 4, 1952. They lived in Florida until 1964 when they moved to Vidalia, GA. She and Dr. Berryhill retired to Texas in 2005.

Barbara enjoyed cooking, crocheting, sewing, shopping and taking care of her family. She spent many years as a pastor’s wife working in the church and being a good steward.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband (Bill, Sr.), her mom (Minnie Lee), her dad (Raymond), her father-in-law (Bill), her mother-in-law (Cressie), her son (Bill, Jr.), her grandson (William Bradley) and several dear friends. She is survived by her remaining three children; Robin Berryhill Jones, Lisa (Bill) Skiles, Paul (Nancy) Berryhill and daughter-in-law Diane Berryhill Stacks; nine grandchildren who she loved dearly: Melanie Marten (Dusty), Lori Berryhill, Austin Jones, Michael Norton (Victoria), Mark Norton (Morgan), Ashley Norton, Alyssa Norton, Johnathan Berryhill (Jenny), Justin Berryhill, her 11 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her friends, extended family, and a community who will miss her dearly.

A visitation will be held at Dalton Family Funeral Home on August 31, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be September 1, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountainview Parkway, Dallas; family and friends will gather at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 10:45 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to World Baptist Fellowship Mission Agency, c/o World Baptist Fellowship Mission Office, PO Box 13549, Arlington, TX 76094-0459 in Barbara Berryhill’s name.

Her family is incredibly grateful to everyone who has filled her life with love and happy memories over the years. She will be deeply missed but we rejoice we will see her again!
