November 12th, 1947 was an exciting day for the late Mrs. Beatrice Floyd-Ming and Mr. Waddie Ming Sr. whom God bestowed to them, the beloved Barbara Jean Ming. 

She was born in Panama City, FL and grew up as a member of the Greater Bethel A.M.E.  Being a server of the Lord was always the greatest passion of Barbara. She attended Sunday School, was an usher and sang in the choir. She attended Glenwood Elementary School and later attended Rosenwald High School. She graduated from Rosenwald in 1965 and was voted as her high school's winter formal queen. 

After high school she moved to Brooklyn, NY with her Uncle Alford Sweet. In New York she met and married Franklin Douglas Stout Sr in 1965. Into their union a son Franklin Douglas F. Stout and Krista L. Stout were born. They lived in Harlem, NY until she moved to Los Angeles, CA in the early 1972. While there, she began to work for 20th Century Fox as an Accounts Payable Supervisor which she enjoyed with pride up until her retirement after 34 loyal years. 

Before that she met William "Billy" Allen and married him on March 25th in 1981. Billy owned a barber shop and was a military veteran as well as a college basketball star. They remained married until Billy passed in 2013.

She was a kind and compassionate woman who was always willing to help others. She was a dedicated volunteer with her long steady churches: New Life Christian Church and Dunamis Power Christian Fellowship for the majority of her life in California. She was active in her church and community, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a caring grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, always going out of way to make sure they wanted for nothing.

Along with her husband, Barbara was preceded in death by her parents: Beatrice Floyd-Ming and Waddie Ming Sr, her siblings: sister Lutissie J. Brigham and brothers Waddie Ming Jr., Matthew L. Harmon and Lafayette Ming Sr.

She is survived by her ex-husband: Franklin Douglas Stout Sr., her son: Franklin Douglas Stout Jr., her daughter: Krista Stout, her step children: Terri, Sherri, Carrie, Billie and Aric, her brother: James Austin Ming, her sister: Gloria J. Thurman, her grandchildren: LaTanika, Kiara, Alexandria, Franklin, Ari, and her great grandchildren: Leondre, Kayvon, Charlette and Madison.
