Dad's passion was education, and he viewed it as the key factor in the development of his home, city and nation. From teaching younger kids in his community when he was a young man, to ensuring that his children had the best education available despite financial challenges, he cared and believed that "education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". (Nelson Mandela).
He had a special passion for the young people of his small town, and was instrumental in helping many achieve their educational dreams.
