Bailey's obituary

Bailey Elizabeth Scott, age 23, of Moberly, Missouri, tragically passed away on the evening of July 6, 2025, at 7:28pm.

Bailey was born on November 19, 2001, in White Salmon, Washington, to Jeremy Scott and Sonia Porter. She brought joy and light into the world from the very beginning and carried that warmth into the lives of everyone who knew her.

Bailey is lovingly remembered first and foremost by the love of her life, her beautiful son, Bentley Sky Burriss.  Bentley filled her life with love, purpose, and the sweetest joy of being called Mommy.  She is also survived by her parents, Jeremy Scott and Sonia Porter; her older brother, Skyler Scott, and his sons, Tyson, Adrien, and Ryder; her younger brother, Brody Scott; and her extended brothers Sean Waits and family, and Shane Walker and family.

She will also be deeply missed by her Aunt Diane and Uncle Dom in Southern California; cousins Natonnie, Danielle, Makenna, and Kano; Aunt Candy Scott; cousins Mari, Armani, Lily, and Stevie; and Uncle Shane Scott, along with cousins Chance and Jade. Bailey’s family was wide and loving, and she held each relationship close to her heart.

After completing high school, Bailey worked at a variety of jobs, always willing to put in the effort and learn new skills. She held positions at Subway, Lowe’s, Walmart Distribution Center, DSV, Orscheln’s, and Ravenwood before beginning work at Grain Bin Supply, where she thrived and grew in both responsibility and confidence. Bailey worked diligently at Grain Bin Supply for the last three years, and her dedication and strong work ethic quickly earned her the position of office manager. She became such a meaningful part of Ken and Martha Knuppel’s lives that they thought of her like a daughter. She was known for her cheerful spirit, kindness, and her ability to brighten any room she walked into.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at the Moberly Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 1400 East McKinsey Street, Moberly, Missouri. A friendship meal will follow the service, where all are welcome to gather and share memories of Bailey’s beautiful life.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved by all who knew her.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
