I remember, well, the first time I met Babs Clough. I was several years post Breast Cancer/chemotherapy. I had become a patient of the very famous holistic cancer
Dr. Douglas Brodie at Reno Integrative medical.
I came to him after conventional cancer
Treatments (the CUT, BURN, & Poison METHOD) had left me near dead and sent me home with less than 5 years to live.
Without a good working immune system and a chemo induced heart problem, I had a little hope. Dr. Brodie was using chelation therapy to get the chemo out and boost the immune.
Sometime in the early 2000s my husband, Jim, had to literally carry me into Dr. Brodie’s office. Jim asked, “Dr. Brodie what’s wrong with her?” I remember telling Dr. B, “you have done all you can we have nothing else to try.” I was loosing hope!
He said, “Oh No, I have someone here who I once was fortunate to work with long ago. God has miraculously sent her back to help here at the clinic. She knows more modalities, ancient and modern then I would ever have the time to study. She will help you!”
The nurse moved me to Babs new office.
I laid back waiting and frightened, Because I was just starting into alternative medicine and knew so little about it. I began to pray, then God gave me a sign. I looked over it to Babs‘s desk where her chair supported her clinical white coat. On the lapel was a decorative pen. It was a Christian cross. I am mediately relaxed. I knew then that God had sent me an angel with hope.
We hit it off immediately, because we shared a great love of horses, and a passion to ride.
In those days, Babs used her old diagnostic computer, which I loved best. It was very accurate and treated disease with a vengeance. She Taylor made my homeopathic‘s and put me on some Chinese herbs. Within days I expelled a mass and just kept getting better and better.
For more than a decade, Babs treated me and my family. She save my life many times over. She continued to help me and be my friend, long after Dr. Brodie passed on.
We never were fortunate enough to ride horses together, but I know that we will. God is saving the best for last!
I stand and salute you, Babs, for your service to our country; for your incredible courage treating the wounded in Vietnam; and for the suffering ‘agent orange’ caused you. And I cannot thank you enough for your ‘life time’ devotion to provide alternative medical assistance to all of us who battled cancer and other terrible diseases.
You truly are the greatest woman I have ever known! In my book: A real cowgirl and pioneer woman!
