On Dr. Babs Clough's birthday, I am reminded of "seeing" a clear image after she transitioned. She was watched a concert, eating popcorn, and wondering what everyone was doing (She missed Roger). Upon sharing this with Roger, he told me that popcorn was Babs' favourite food. Happy birthday, dear Babs!
The email received from this site today is, what always reminds you of Babette Clough?  Several things remind me of dear Dr. Babs ... such as when Roger and I correspond ... or when I speak with someone in Nevada ... or in Hawaii. I also think fo Dr. Babs when I pass on information she suggested to a patient with respect to the light therapy technology she and I were able to reconnect about.  I feel confident that Dr. Babs is somehow keeping in touch with her family and friends with all her love.
Thinking of Dr. Babs and her family today during Babs' birthday. Sending love and prayers ..

On the day of Babs Celebration of Life, my husband, Jim Letcher, found a new chick in our hen house. It was our first and only chick we have had born in all the many years, since the late 80's, that we have had a chick born. Odd that! We had a broody hen, but did not know that she was so determined to have a baby. So Jim thought that we should name it Babs, in honor of her Celebration of Life day. I asked Roger if it was okay with him to name the chick, Babs. I love his answer, YES, because Babs was a Cute Chick. Love that, so we have a new chick in the hen house named Babs!

Ms Babs will be sorely missed.  We were fortunate to have known her.  I had fun when she lived in Northern Nevada to help out on the farm with her animals.  Thanks to her referrals and helping us with her extensive knowledge, we gotten the help needed for the conditions we live with, with alternative medicine, including helping our dog we had.  With her being a phone call away I had things to share whether to say hello or medically.  She always wanted to help right up until the end, even with her own ailments she was dealing with.  We learned a lot more about holistic medicine and could not thank her ever enough.  I still think "oh I need to call Babs about this" ;  the problem is, I can't anymore.  Salute to her service for our country, and Her memory will live in our hearts.

Speaking of making friends everywhere, ot one time Dr. Babs was at the hospital in emergency, tending to obviously a serious issue. In spite of this urgent matter for herself, it didn't stop her from sharing information about a technology with a young man in order to help him. Constantly thinking about the well-being of others, she was grateful that I was happy to follow up on the contacts she had made .... here, there, and everywhere.

I always felt safe knowing Babs was only a phone call away.  She helped our family in so many ways. I already miss knowing that I can not call her.  She will be in my heart forever. My condolences to the family! I will see her again.
Bab's continues to be a wonderful friend, and mother, grandmother to her family.  Even though she is not physically present, her spirit will live on for eternity.  Bab's thank you for your kindness, love, care, and friendship.  You are a very good friend and I will miss your beautiful voice during our chats.

Such a classy, lovely lady!  We…me, brother Jim and Babs grew up together on Long Island.  We were thrilled to get together again a couple of years ago when she and Roger came to visit the island.  She will be missed and loved by so many people who came into her life.

The day we met we connected like we were lost friends.  A kind , caring, beautiful woman.

We both had so many things in common, both living on Oahu , our love for plants, animals, homeopathic healing, helping others gave us a foundation to talk story for hours.

We didn’t know each other long but our time together was well spent. She will forever be in my heart.

Aloha Oe ❤️

I remember, well, the first time I met Babs Clough. I was several years post Breast Cancer/chemotherapy. I had become a patient of the very famous holistic cancer

Dr. Douglas Brodie at Reno Integrative medical.

I came to him after conventional cancer

Treatments (the CUT, BURN, & Poison METHOD) had left me near dead and sent me home with less than 5 years to live.

Without a good working immune system and a chemo induced heart problem, I had a little hope. Dr. Brodie was using chelation therapy to get the chemo out and boost the immune.

Sometime in the early 2000s my husband, Jim, had to literally carry me into Dr. Brodie’s office. Jim asked, “Dr. Brodie what’s wrong with her?” I remember telling Dr. B, “you have done all you can we have nothing else to try.” I was loosing hope!

He said, “Oh No, I have someone here who I once was fortunate to work with long ago. God has miraculously sent her back to help here at the clinic. She knows more modalities, ancient and modern then I would ever have the time to study. She will help you!”

The nurse moved me to Babs new office.

I laid back waiting and frightened, Because I was just starting into alternative medicine and knew so little about it. I began to pray, then God gave me a sign. I looked over it to Babs‘s desk where her chair supported her clinical white coat. On the lapel was a decorative pen. It was a Christian cross. I am mediately relaxed. I knew then that God had sent me an angel with hope.

We hit it off immediately, because we shared a great love of horses, and a passion to ride.

In those days, Babs used her old diagnostic computer, which I loved best. It was very accurate and treated disease with a vengeance. She Taylor made my homeopathic‘s and put me on some Chinese herbs. Within days I expelled a mass and just kept getting better and better.

For more than a decade, Babs treated me and my family. She save my life many times over. She continued to help me and be my friend, long after Dr. Brodie passed on.

We never were fortunate enough to ride horses together, but I know that we will. God is saving the best for last!

I stand and salute you, Babs, for your service to our country; for your incredible courage treating the wounded in Vietnam; and for the suffering ‘agent orange’ caused you. And I cannot thank you enough for your ‘life time’ devotion to provide alternative medical assistance to all of us who battled cancer and other terrible diseases.

You truly are the greatest woman I have ever known! In my book: A real cowgirl and pioneer woman!

To the entire amazing Clough Family:Trying to grasp this great loss by holding on to the abundant blessings given to me by Babs, a most incredible woman.   For more than 30-years she was and will remain, as we often called ourselves, "spiritual sisters" and "sisters from another mister."  Babs will be in my heart and in the hearts of so many others for all time.My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult transition. With deep sadness and much love.Patti
