My deepest condolences to Baban’s family and to his professional friends.  Baban lived life well and was always smiling.  I first met him the summer of 1998. I had just retired from the Air Force and began my new career at Howell Instruments. Baban had just accepted a new position with another company and was training me to take over one of his projects. He was brilliant and an expert on the CT7 engine. I on the other hand, was neither. I was scared I would drop the ball. He and I quickly became friends and he got me through the transition. We maintained the friendship until I retired 3 years ago and we lost touch.  Baban will always be in my heart and mind. He was/is a great man and a kind soul.
