(Beverly) Denise Norris, of Delphos, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024, in her home.

She was born on November 13, 1953, to Vernon and Julianne “Judy” (Jones) Clevenger who both preceded her in death. Denise married her childhood sweetheart, Jeff Norris, on October 13, 1973.

Denise is survived by her loving husband and three children, Rachel Gillaspie, Jill (TJ) Schimmoeller, and Kevin (Sherri) Norris as well as her grandchildren, Caleb and Zach Gillaspie; Ethan, Alex, and Wyatt Schimmoeller; Ariah and Logan Norris, as well as, her siblings Keith Clevenger, Rene Schrader, Scott (Deanne) Clevenger, and her sister-in-law Jane Clevenger along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bruce Clevenger; her brother-in-law, Jim Norris; her sister-in-law, Jan Norris; her brother-in-law, Jim Schrader; and her son-in-law, Alan Gillaspie.

Denise was a 1972 graduate of Delphos Jefferson. She was involved in school as a cheerleader, homecoming attendant, National Honor Society, class officer, and in choir. She enjoyed playing softball and volleyball through the years. Time at Indian Lake and vacationing with friends and family were some of her greatest memories. She was a proud mother and Mimi, who shared her compassion with everyone. Denise spent time working as a daycare worker where her natural talent for teaching was shared with the children. She was also involved at church and in studying the Bible. Watching movies, reading, and playing games with her family and friends were some of her favorite things. Denise will forever be remembered for her kind heart and the fact that she never treated anyone as a stranger.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to research Multiple Sclerosis.
