Background
In 2000, Ava began living in various personal care homes in the Philadelphia area. Mental Health Partnerships -- formerly known as the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania -- supported her for almost two decades until she entered a nursing home near the end of her life. When we discussed what would be done after her passing, Ava requested that donations be made to this organization. More info on MHP at www.mentalhealthpartnerships.org .
