Austin's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of beloved son, brother, and friend Austin J. Ogden. After 27 years, Austin’s time in this world came to a sudden end on June 5, 2021.

Outgoing, charismatic, big-hearted, one-of-a-kind… These words simply touch the surface when trying to capture the depth of Austin’s being and the warmth of his unique soul.

From the day he entered this world at Alameda Hospital on December 18, 1993, curiosity and enthusiasm filled his life. He spent most of his childhood in Dublin, California, actively participating in football, poker, golf, paintball, and—most of all—wrestling. After graduating from Dublin High School in 2012, he ran as DUSD’s youngest-ever candidate for the school board. While in Dublin, Austin developed a distinctive love for the Raiders and an irresistible habit of spoiling Reegan (the family dog) with many treats.

Austin’s yearning to live life to its fullest took him to Europe, where he studied at the University of London before finishing a communications degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His outgoing personality led him to become a prominent VIP host in Las Vegas, where he traveled across the world, satisfied his love for food by dining at Michelin star restaurants, and seemingly lived a lifetime in a day.

Whether it was running for the school board, practicing jiujitsu, or eating cookies, Austin tackled everything he did with passion and purpose. His entrepreneurial spirit became a driving force in social groups, business deals, and events. No matter where he went, Austin had a distinctive ability to make anyone in a room feel at home. Even now, Austin's influence continues to serve as an enduring foundation for countless relationships.

His ability to create genuine and lasting connections will remain everlasting to all those he knew. He had a profound love for life and a strong commitment to celebrating all aspects of living, from the smallest of interactions to the greatest of achievements.
Our precious memories of Austin and the extraordinary impact he had on those around him are constant reminders for all of us to embrace life with the same hope, love, and sincerity as he did.

It is hard to quantify how many people Austin affected in the 27 years since his birth, but the persisting influence his spirit will have moving forward is truly immeasurable. He will forever be missed and cherished by all those he touched.

Austin is survived by his father Jerry, mother Dana, sister Liliana, grandparents June and Jim Ogden and Betty Murray, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
