Sy passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 9th, 2023. He was 91 years old. A lifelong Seattleite – Sy graduated from O’Dea High School, Seattle University, and the University of Washington. He served in the US Army for 2 years and was employed for 40 years as a US Federal Auditor with the US General Accounting Office.

Sy was known for his faith and his love of family, friends, and football. He enjoyed many years of facilitating Bible Study Fellowship and attending Husky football games. He was an avid reader, a coin and stamp collector, and he loved golfing with his senior golfing buddies.

Sy is preceded in death by sisters Shirley Ramirez, Rose Domondon, and parents Matilde and Harry Rallos, and Aurelio Simon. He is survived by his love and life partner of 60 years, Carol E Simon, his brother Benjamin Simon, his children, Maria, Paul, Mark (Anna), and JoAnn, his six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
