My sympathies to the entire Allen family. I just looked up my childhood friend, Darius Allen tonight (7-22-2021) to see if maybe I could find him. I am stunned to see his obituary. Darius was my first childhood friend. We grew up in our early childhood in the Barrow Heights neighborhood in Winder, Ga. We always had the best time together. I have memories that I would love to share with you, his family. I believe that I still have a letter he wrote to me after he and his family moved to Gainesville, Ga. I haven't seen my good friend since we were each eight or nine years old, but have thought of him often through the years and am deeply saddened by this news. Rest my dear friend! We had a lot of fun together didn't we? You gave me lot of laughs at your side. I will remember you always. Prayers for your illuminated spirit and those who love you and now bask in your afterglow of love and influence! Sincerely, Scott Patrick Savannah, Ga. Scottpatpac@gmail.com
My condolences to Sherri and family. My late brother, David Steedley, was friends with Darius and Sherri when they lived in the Gainesville area. They were good friends to him. I hope Darius and David are reunited now, and having lots of time to reminisce.
Sorry to hear of your family's loss, but happy to know he's resting comfortably in the arms of Jesus. Recent words from 7 yr old g'daughter: "...we have two lives. One on earth and one in Heaven. That one is better and it's for infinity..." We love you and yours, leGay and Tim
