Audry's obituary

With immense sadness, we announce the passing of Audry "Dee" Wilson on June 16, 2025. Born on September 27, 2005, Audry, affectionately known as Dee, was a bright, inspiring, funny, and radiant individual whose presence warmed the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her loving parents, Daniel and Tami Wilson, and her devoted partner, Grayson Smith. Our deepest sympathies extend to them during this difficult time. Audry's favorite color was yellow, a reflection of her bubbly and glowing personality that touched countless lives.

Audry began her educational journey in 2009 and graduated from middle school a decade later. In 2021, she relocated to Camden, NC before completing her high school education online in 2024. She was also a proud recipient of the Hannah W. Noble Art Prize and took pride in her acceptance to the College of the Albemarle. Adding to her list of accomplishments was her certification in Online Graphic Design. Her academic achievements are a testament to her determination and resilience.

Aside from her academic pursuits, Audry had a diverse range of interests. She loved butter chicken with rice and was fond of Monster Energy drinks and 7Up. Her favorite book was 'A Court of Silver Flames', and she enjoyed the music of System of a Down and Slipknot. She found joy in shows like 'The Walking Dead' and movies like 'Apocalypse Now'. A gamer at heart, Audry loved the Nintendo Switch, with some of her favorite performances including 'Annie'. Drawing was a favored recreational activity, and she kept fit by swimming. Her most cherished local spot was the Muddy Waters Coffeehouse, and she found relaxation in vacationing in Florida.

Audry was passionate about causes including the ASPCA and cancer support. She was an ardent supporter of the American Red Cross, embodying their values in her everyday life. Her parting words of wisdom were always to put faith in oneself because one's own motivation is paramount.

Audry leaves behind a legacy of grace, faith, and perseverance. She will always be remembered for her pride, her striking presence, her humor, and her radiant smile. Above all else, her care for others will forever be engrained in the hearts of those who knew her.

Audry's life was vibrant and full of joy, and her spirit will continue to inspire all those who were part of her journey. Rest in peace, Audry. You will be greatly missed.
