Audrey's obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY OF AUDREY LOUISE SUTTER
Audrey Louise Sutter, (Maiden name; Dunn); also, lovingly know as Mom, Honey Grams, or Grama-Diego. Died peaceably in her own bed, 3:10pm on January 20, 2021 in La Mesa, California at the age of 89 years old.
Is Survived by; 4 Children, 13 Grandkids, 23 Great Grandkids and 3 Great-Great Grandkids. Preceded in Death by; Grace Dunn (Mother), James Dunn (Father), James Dunn (Brother), William Sutter (Husband).
Audrey was born on November 21, 1931 in Chicago, Ill. She is remembered as a loving, loyal, feisty, fun, and stubborn woman that had special relationships with each of her kids and Grandkids and special nicknames for each. She was proud of her Irish heritage and on St. Patrick’s day would tease the kids and grandkids she was going to take them down to the city hall and have their butts painted green. When you would visit her apartment (the hotel) you could not get away without being feed or playing a couple games of Yahtzee and other card games.
After the family moved to Southern California in 1970, she loved sailing her Sabot off Shelter Island in SanDiego. The small beach on Shelter island became her favorite place to picnic, walk or just hang out.
Audrey was always into crafting, sewing, and quilting. In her later years, she loved her YMCA swim aerobics where she was known as the energizer bunny.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for January 30th at South Rock Christian Church in Derby, Kansas. For those that would like to join us, but can not attend in person, let me know and I will send you a link so you can stream the service online.
The family is comforted knowing that she is now at peace and “behaving herself” with God, her parents and her only brother.
