Audrey's obituary
Audrey Serrano Tuttle, 62, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1st, 2024. Audrey was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, and friend to many. There will be a private memorial for Audrey’s close family and friends. A video of the memorial will be posted at a later date.
Audrey Serrano Tuttle was born June 14, 1962, in Ramapo, New York to Peter and Nivian Serrano. She grew up in New York, Puerto Rico, and Texas and graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. She played percussion for the high school band, enjoying the snare drum and xylophone. Audrey continued her love of music throughout college and adulthood, carrying her beloved Alcarez guitar, writing music, and singing in her local church. Audrey continued her education at A&M University with a Bachelor's in Microbiology and a Master’s in Education.
After college, Audrey married Kelly Tuttle and had her daughters, Kristin (Krissi) in 1994 and Kaitlin (KK) in 1998. The family lived in Auburn, Washington, where Audrey pursued her passion for teaching elementary school. In her free time, she enjoyed nature with her children, making crafts and routine charts, and keeping a clean and hospital home.
Audrey had a special place in her heart for her pets: her childhood dog Trixie, the German Shepherd; Skipper, the Newfoundland, Shasta, the Dalmatian, Cookie, the Rottweiler, and Poco and Pepper, the cats, with her daughters; and Chance, her pomeranian in later years. She is survived by Tigger, her precious senior tabby, who faithfully stayed with her in her final days.
Audrey was a reserved, resilient, and hard-working woman. Though sometimes quiet, she was strongly opinionated and always ready with a witty response. She came to Christ in college and served on various worship teams. She was a writer, keeping detailed records of her life and experiences. Her honest and raw faith can be found in various journals. Despite trying times in later years, her prayers were that her daughters would be okay and her family would come to know Jesus.
Audrey is deeply missed by her mother, Nivian Serrano, whom she has lived with for the last 15 years, children, Kristin Kimball, and Kaitlin Weaver, and sibling, James Serrano, as well as extended family members and dear friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved father, Peter Serrano.
