Rest in power, Dr. Holland aka Audrey. Thank you for being the department chair that took a chance on admitting this long-ago international student from India who got to fulfill a dream to get a PhD at a top-rated speech pathology program. Thank you for the many times of direct and behind-the-scenes mentoring you provided for so long. Your contributions in aphasiology and speech-language pathology will live on and always be a reminder on how to do right by people with aphasia. 

Audrey was a great lady, who gave voice to her patients,  generously shared her wisdom with colleagues and students, and gave me the gift of her trust.  She took me on as a 53 year old post-doc , nurtured qualities in me that previous supervisors squelched, gave me free rein and support to implement my ideas, and helped launch a rewarding 30 year career.
