Audelis's obituary
Audelis Adames, also fondly known as Cole, passed away on July 27, 2025. Born on June 3, 1964, Audelis was a warm, caring, funny, and giving individual who always looked out for others. The best lessons he shared were reflections of hard work, compassion, kindness, and humor that defined his life's legacy. His passing brings profound sadness, and he will be missed tremendously by his Adames and Sanchez family.
Audelis was predeceased by his mother, Aleja Sanchez; sister, Jasmine Hernandez; brother, Antonio Garcia; and sister, Ana Maria Ramos. He is survived by his son, Andrew Adames, daughter Amanda Adames, sisters Evelyn Garcia, and Migdalia Cruz. Audelis' children and siblings remain to honor his memory and the vibrant life he led.
In 1993, Audelis relocated to Kissimmee, FL, after graduating from Bushwick High School in Irving Avenue, Brooklyn, NY, in 1983. He started working at the Walt Disney World Resorts in 1994 and retired from there in 2023 after a fulfilling career. One of his greatest accomplishments was being a loving father to Andrew and Amanda.
Among his passions, Audelis loved ice-cold beer, coffee, and Coke Zero. His favorite TV shows included Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, and Friends, while his taste in movies leaned towards The Matrix, Gladiator, and Braveheart. He thoroughly enjoyed performances of Chicago and Hamilton. Hanging out with family, watching TV, and grilling were among his preferred recreational activities. Audelis also enjoyed lighting up a good cigar and playing fantasy football, winning championships multiple times. Nothing brought Audelis more joy than being with his 6 grandchildren; Anderson, Audrey, Alianna, and Aurora, (Andrew’s Children) Maxwell, and Elijah (Amanda’s Children)
Locally, Audelis was often at Le’Mays Pizza and Lin Garden. He rooted for the New York Jets, Mets, Knicks, and the Rangers. His preferred games included Uno, Spades, and Poker. Green and white were his colors of choice. He loved eating chili, pizza, wings, burgers, chicken, rice and beans, and his musical tastes included Earth, Wind, and Fire; Billy Joel; classic rock; and hip hop.
These details paint a colorful picture of the man Audelis was: full of life, generous, and a jovial presence consistently bringing joy to those around him. We cherish the memories we have of him, and his memories live on in the hearts of the many lives he touched. We take comfort in knowing that Audelis' legacy of kindness, compassion, and laughter will continue to inspire us all.
