Ashley's obituary
A.J. was loved by all and those who knew him are better people because of it. Fiercely loyal, hardworking, and not one to rest, he was known to come to your aid at a moment’s notice at any time of day or night. His selflessness shined in every aspect of his life, and he dedicated so much of his time to worthy causes. He fought for ideals he believed in, advocating for equality, human rights and dignity for all. A.J. was a constant source of unrelenting kindness.
He gave so much of himself and focused his energy on everyone around him and those he loved. He spent much of his time with his girlfriend, Jesse, whom he lived with in Baltimore. He truly poured every ounce of his heart and soul into his loved ones. Whether hiking with his sister Jillian, helping his mother with projects, sharing trips to a cabin with friends or brews at the zoo with others, A.J. was a positive and uplifting person. He loved animals and especially loved visiting with his sister’s two dogs and cat. A highlight of his life that he remembered fondly was his trips to India with his good friend Ray.
A.J. is survived by his mother, Jill Jones, his brother Sterling and his wife Christine and her daughter Christy-Lee, his sister Jillian and her husband Jack and his daughter Darcy, his grandparents Flavia Robertson, Herb McKittrick and his wife Mary Lou, his aunt Ruth and her husband Bill, his aunt Jan and her husband Tony, his uncle Sterling and his wife Pam, his aunt Alys and her husband Paul, his uncle Joel and his wife Patty, and numerous cousins and extended family. A.J. is predeceased in death by his father William Owen Jones and grandparents Nadine Sawdon, Ralph Ashley Jones, and Sterling Robertson. A.J. is also survived by so many other loving family and friends.
