Arun Narang passed away in Newburgh, IN on May 10, 2021 at the age of 74. He was born on August 25, 1946 in Multan, British India and moved to Queens, NY as a child. He attended Colgate University on a soccer scholarship, joined the Peace Corps in India, where he met his first wife, Gini, and they had a daughter, Shama. Arun spent several years traveling and working around the globe -- from Tonga to Malaysia to Iran. He eventually settled in Spain, where he and his wife, Jean had two children, Anjuli and Alex, and opened Finca la Mota, a country inn and restaurant, which they ran together for more than 30 years. Arun and Jean eventually moved back to the United States to be closer to family and pursue educational opportunities for their children. They traveled and lived throughout the country, including St Louis, New England, and eventually settling in Newburgh, IN where their youngest grandchildren live. Arun is remembered for his wicked sense of humor, mastery of the BBQ, talent for throwing an incredible party, and devotion to his family and the Liverpool Football Club.

Arun was pre-deceased by his parents, Hans and Savitri Narang and his sister Renu Narang, all of Westport, CT. Arun is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Narang, of Newburgh, IN; his daughter, Shama, son-in-law James, and grandaughter Poppy Davis of Phoenicia, NY; his daughter Anjuli, son-in-law Gustavo, and grandchildren Naomi, Nicholas, and Neriah Nascimento, of Boston, MA; and his son Alex, daughter-in-law Andrea, and grandchildren Amelia and August Narang, also of Newburgh.
