Artie was my longest tenured friend. I met him in 1957 and stayed friends with him until the end. He was eccentric but brilliant. And he was the most hilarious person I ever knew. Bon mots flew out of his mouth like feathers in the wind. He had a troubled life and suffered greatly towards the end. I will always have a place in my heart for him.
