I remember sitting in the living room at Grandma VI's house watching Ahmad Rashad's playoff-clinching catch. Art jumped up and shook my hand. We got to visit Art and Nancy a couple of times after I started a family and they were generous and gracious.
Art was my neighbor. We chatted at the mailbox on many occasions. We’ve missed him in the neighborhood since he moved. If it hadn’t been for COVID, he would have had many more visitors. I’m so sorry for your loss. He must have been a wonderful father. Mary Griggs
I read of Art’s passing in today’s Sacramento Bee. Truly a life well loved. My dad, Herb, played golf with Art and their buddies each week for over a decade. His good natured and positive attitude was infectious. I can recall the times he came to visit my dad when he dad was in his final chapter of life. He would sit with dad for hours and share stories together. It was priceless to witness. True friendship. ❤️❤️ I’m certain that Art was greeted, in heaven, by so many that cared for him. Hit them straight Art. While you were here, you made a difference.
