Obituary for Arthur “Voyd” Shelton.

Arthur “Voyd” Shelton passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance and deep love for family and friends.

Born on October 12, 1963, Arthur faced significant challenges in life. A devastating accident left him disabled, and although it took a toll on his health, he met each day with unwavering determination. His resilience and refusal to give up, even in the face of hardship, inspired all who knew him.

Arthur cherished his family and friends, and their bonds were the cornerstone of his life. He made the best of every situation, demonstrating a strength that will continue to inspire those who remember him.

Voyd was the son of the late Neil and Callie Shelton. He is survived by his devoted wife, Joanie Shelton, who was there through it all; his sons, Marcus and Audria Shelton (and grandchildren Presley, Alana, Alexis, and Brooklyn Shelton); as well as Jerry and Sarah Shelton. His brothers and sisters Bill and (late) Teresa Shelton, Debra and Lynn Bowser, and Beatrice and Pete Castagolonie. A very special Nephew Seldon Shelton, along with many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Shelton, Earl Shelton, Dennis Shelton, and sister Almalee.

Arthur “Voyd” Shelton will be dearly missed and forever remembered. May he rest in peace.
