Arthur's obituary
Arthur Timothy Salvietti Jr., 83, of Holly Springs, NC, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 11, 1941, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Arthur T. Salvietti Sr. and Loretta Onofreo Salvietti.
Arthur was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Holly Salvietti, with whom he shared 45 wonderful years. He leaves behind five children who were the pride of his life: Arthur Timothy Salvietti III and his spouse, Carol Ann Salvietti of Cheshire, CT; Mae Pelletier and her spouse, Pierre Pelletier of Conway, SC; John Salvietti and his spouse, Stacey Salvietti of Thomaston CT; Theresa DiNicola Petti and her spouse, Christopher Petti of Fuquay-Varina NC; and Tammy Salvietti and her life partner, Thomas Quattro Jr of Watertown CT.
Arthur adored his 14 grandchildren: Megan Pelletier Dickinson and her spouse John, Joshua Pelletier, Tyler Bao and his spouse Marie, Emily Bao, Caitlyn Bao, Abigail Salvietti, Hannah Salvietti, Brandon Salvietti, Brooke Salvietti, Angelina Winters, Arthur Quattro, Scarlett Petti, Alexander Quattro, and Austin Petti, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Norah Dickinson, Boyd Dickinson, and Melo Martorelli.
His four brothers also survive him: David Salvietti of Oakville, CT; Michael Salvietti and his spouse, Susan, of Oakville, CT; Mark Salvietti of Vernon Beach, Florida; and Dennis Salvietti of Waterbury, CT. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Ronald Salvietti and Robert Salvietti, and two sisters, Sandra Jalbert and Cindy Campagna. Arthur cherished his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends, all of whom brought joy to his life. He will be missed by his dear friends at KnB Marketplace in Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Arthur worked as a machinist at Iseli Company in Terryville, CT, for over twenty years. He continued as a machinist in Waterville, ME, until his retirement, at which time they returned to CT before settling in NC for the last eight years of his life. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golfing, and woodworking. A true sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of NASCAR and the New York Yankees.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Transitions Hospice Home. A memorial and celebration of Art's life will take place at the family's convenience. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
