The day before his 70th we took him to Hershey Park. He had a love of amusement parks and I will always cherish the memories of our trips to Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, and of course Jolly Roger

COVID-19 wedding! Joe and I feel so blessed to have had Hap on our actual wedding day last year. We couldn’t imagine a wedding without his infectious smile, laugh, and witty jokes. This photo was taken about an hour before Hap gave a beautiful speech about his pride in Joe and seeing how far he’s come; as well as sharing his excitement for all of us officially being family. While I’m heartbroken I couldn’t share and listen to more stories of yours, I feel so blessed and lucky to have shared the time we did have with you. As you always said, we will stay forever young in your memory!

Bethany Beach - spent so many summers there. I remember dad used to build the most elaborate sand castles! they had tunnels traveling through them and strategically placed windows. He would drop a racquetball from the top and we would watch it travel through the tunnels passing by the windows. It was magic!

My condolences to Haps family.  We worked together at DOJ.  Hap was the nicest guy.  I will truly miss Hap.😥
I cannot pick one moment that was the most fun. He was absolutely a joy to be around. Always making you laugh. Having him as a father has provided me with a childhood full of fun. Becoming an adult only helped me to understand just how lighthearted and fun my father was.
