Arthur Emil Goetz

June 19, 1930 – January 13, 2024

Arthur Emil Goetz, 93, of Paw Paw, Illinois, passed away January 13, 2024. Art was born on June 19, 1930  to Lillian and Emil Goetz in Chicago. He was a student at the Illinois Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's School in Bloomington, where he stayed until he was 18 years old. After graduation, he served in the Army and was stationed in Korea where he earned multiple medals and citations. He was honorably discharged in 1953 and began working at Kemper Insurance in Chicago where he worked for more than 30 years, retiring in 1995.

In 1959, he met and married Barbara Goetz in Chicago and went on to have three girls, (Kathryn, Judi and Karen). Arthur was predeceased by his parents (Lillian and Emil), his wife Barbara, his brothers and sisters (Paul, Charlotte, Marie, Betty, Bonnie and August), and his daughter Kathryn (Keith) Nowicki. He is survived by his daughters Judi (Garry) Offord and Karen (James) Holman and grandchildren David (Kathryn), Joshua, Michael, Elizabeth and Olivia

Family and friends are welcome to attend a memorial service held at Paw Paw United Methodist Church at 370 Wiley Avenue in Paw Paw on January 28, 2024. Please join us from 1-2 for visits and condolences with the family and at 2 p.m. for his memorial services held in the church sanctuary.

At a later date, he will be interred at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois with military honors.
