POSTING FOR RICK SEALE

Art's passing is a great loss to the DC community.

Art was an integral part of the focus group industry in the DC area.

When I started at Shugoll Research, he was among the first people I knew. Art would come to the facility whenever a client would request video recording with a camera operator, or special video setups for large groups. He would do the same at hotels and conference centers all over the area. He would even do mobile video recording with handheld cameras for in-person or in-store interviews.

For over 30 years, and possibly longer, he almost single-handedly made it possible for research firms like Shugoll Research, Limelight Insights by Shugoll, and many others who have come and gone, to provide these critical services.

From 2016-2020, Art was our Alexandria Facility Manager. During that time, he managed all the on-site needs in the Alexandria focus group facility and hired and trained our Focus Group staff for that facility.

Most importantly, he was always a good friend, a kind voice at the other end of the line, and always the calmest, coolest person in the room.

POSTING FOR PAUL CARR

Rest in Peace Art Cobb ❤️

A great brother and a great musician. I was part of a band that Art took to Russia in 1989. That trip was so educational for me. Art was always on the cutting edge of technology, videotaping the whole tour. Many Russian citizens had never seen a portable video camera, and I didn’t have one at the time. Art videotaped the first Jazz Academy spring concerts. Art was always sincere and played with heart and soul. 🙏🏾❤️

POSTING  FOR DONNA COBB-TAYLOR

My Deepest Heartfelt Sympathy

Beverly, Walter, Arlene, Barbara, Frederick and family, we have lost a very special person! Artie was a loving, kind and generous person with a beautiful smile. He will live on within our hearts.

Please forward this email to Beverly. I couldn't post this information on Artie's obituary site. Probably too long!

I am so sad, my dear cousin Artie meant alot to me. He will truly be missed.

Remembering my First Cousin Arthur (Artie) Cobb from childhood through the decades we continued to enjoy reminiscing about the good old days in the country in (Butler) Nixon PA. Nixon was a special place for me that I visited throughout my life. Our Gramma Lelar (Jenkins) Cobb lived across the field from Artie's house where I spent alot of great times with him, his parents - Uncle Walter and Aunt Aileen; and his siblings - my cousins Walter, Arlene, Barbara and Frederick.

Years later during our adult lives Artie and I kept in touch. We had marathon telephone visits that continued on via emails for the next 2-3 days at a time. We often laughed and said that we would always be "dreamers" as life had offered so many exciting opportunities and adventures.

Some of my great memories of Artie. When his jazz band toured Russia and Greece he sent me beautiful pictures; when Aunt Aileen and I did a three day visit to MD for Artie's spectacular two day Brown Street Jazz and Arts Festival and a Champagne Brunch on Sunday; or during a Jenkins family reunion and the fun evening at a Jazz Club in Baltimore MD jamming with Artie's band & blues singer; or our wonderful three hour long conversation when Artie drove from Maryland, picked up Aunt Aileen and me in Pittsburgh and drove us to Cincinnati, Ohio for Uncle Bobby Cobb's funeral; and, I will forever cherish and love watching the video over and over that Artie's company produced of our 1992 Jenkins Family reunion in PA that was hosted by the Cobb Family; and last, but not least it was during a serious conversation in 2020 with Artie while reflecting upon our lives that inspired me to create the First Cousins 70's Milestone Club.

My Deepest Heartfelt Sympathy,

Cousin Donna Cobb-Taylor,❣️

Kiskimere, PA

PS - Artie, Mr Pittsburgh Steeler! I was so happy to see the picture of Artie wearing the Pittsburgh Steelers covid-19 mask that I sent in his 70th birthday card and gift.

Saddened and shocked to hear of the loss of Art Cobb. He was a fabulous drummer that lit up El Golfo.

To Beverly, Family and Friends,

My sympathies to all those who knew and loved Arthur, and had the opportunity to experience his warm smile and easy going spirit.

I will always remember our trip to Jamaica with Beverly and  Art. It still ranks as my best vacation.

I pray that God’s caring, comforting presence will surround you during this time.

Love, Peace & Blessings

I am so sorry we lost Art. He was such a kind, loving and gentle spirit, which this Earth truly needs more of. I will miss him. My heart goes out to Art’s family because I know they are grieving. At least we can say Art is no longer sick and in pain. Good-bye, Art.
I am sorry for your loss he don't hurt no more

Beverly, Walter, Arlene, Barbara & Fred, Wonderful memories of Art. I will always remember years ago when I was visiting my friend's sister in DC. We went to a party and Art was at the party. We met as adults there, my cousin who I looked up to. I was so proud to have met him and I introduced him to those I knew as my cousin from Pittsburgh! Family is everything I met Beverly years later and they made such a beautiful couple. Love you, praying for your strength, comfort and peace!❤️🙏🏽
