Artemis Spanolios, affectionately known as Giagia or Mitzy to all who cherished her, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2023, at the age of 93, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Chios, Greece, Artemis embarked on a new life in the United States, making Boston her home alongside her adored husband, George Spanolios, fondly referred to as Papou. Almost 22 years to the day, she joined him in eternal rest. Their union was a testament to deep love and unwavering commitment.

Artemis possessed a rare gift for making everyone she encountered feel like family. Her warm heart and boundless generosity embraced all who entered her life. She enjoyed feeding people, watching Greek soap operas, and game shows, with a special fondness for "The Price Is Right." Her unique sense of humor endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A celebration of Artemis's life will take place at her daughter's home on Saturday, November 4 at 1 p.m., where family and friends will gather to remember Giagia.
