Born on March 12, 1937 in Mountain Hill, St. Catherine, Jamaica. George left school after the 8th grade to support his mother. He often expressed regret for not completing his formal education. Nonetheless, he cultivated the value of a good education in his children, grandchildren, and all those around him.
At the age of 22, he had his first child, Everald. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering, and he never missed an opportunity to express how proud he was of them.
George's career started in farming before he moved to Kingston in search of other work. In 1972, he migrated to Canada where he worked hard in his newly adopted (" cold ") country to make ends meet. Many years later, 1992, he moved to the USA, settling in Florida, where he continued working until his retirement. He relocated from Miami to Palm Bay, Florida where he had an active social life within a wide circle of friends, then in 2023, he decided he wanted to come home to Mama Africa to be with his son
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Ruby Ucilda (Married 1966–2007) and his second wife Myrna (Married 2012–2022). He is survived by his sisters, Cislyn and Enid; his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Mr. George was a pillar of strength and determination, always striving to provide his family with the life he believed they deserved. His devotion to his family is unwavering and legendary.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes love offerings. A celebration of life will be held on April 27, 2025, to honor his legacy and memory.
