Arreyues's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Arreyues "Tezz" Arnesto Marquez Burton, a vibrant and adventurous young soul, at the age of 20 years young on November 21, 2022. Arreyues's promising journey was tragically cut short by an act of senseless gun violence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

 Born on January 15, 2002, Arreyues embraced life with a passion of quality time spent with family , a passion for hands on work from dealing with cars, forklifting and to even food. His adventurous spirit and love for new activities led him to an exciting life. Although he had no children , he was the absolute best uncle/father figure. Arreyues's zest for life was contagious, and he shared his enthusiasm for enjoying life to the fullest with everyone fortunate enough to accompany him on his journeys. Arreyues's friends and family remember him as a compassionate and free-spirited individual, always eager to lend a helping hand or share a smile. He had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him. In addition to his love and enjoyment of spending most of his time with family, he also enjoyed working on vehicles, playing the video game , driving forklifts and hanging out at the gun range. Arreyues graduated at the age of 16 and also loved to played basketball as a sport.

He was known for his humble and easygoing nature, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness, making every gathering more lively and memorable.

Arreyues was preceded in death by his grandmother, Margrett "Big Mama" Pettis and big brother Ralph Raphael Jr.. He is survived by his mother, Antoinette Pettis; father Alton Burton Sr; his older sisters, Tee Miller , Red Montgomery , Toni Burton, Devan Burton, Courtney Burton and younger sister Promise Burton; his older brothers, AJ Burton Jr., Michael Mora, and younger brother Andrew Burton - all of Kansas City, Missouri. He also leaves behind 22 nieces and nephews and many close loved ones and friends.

 Arreyues leaves behind a grieving community of family and friends who will forever cherish the memories of his infectious laughter, his love for life, and the joy he brought to those around him. May he find eternal peace, and may his spirit continue to inspire others to embrace the beauty of life just as he did.
